CRRC receives donation from Cambridge Rotary Club

posted 15 Dec 2016, 02:56 by Tony King

On Tuesday 13th of December, two representatives from CRRC met with members of Cambridge Rotary Club for lunch to receive a 9000 pound donation. The money was collected at a fundraising event in Cambridge University which was a huge success.

“CRRC is deeply grateful for the generous donation given to us by the Rotary Club. Our affiliates know many Rotary members have worked hard to collect the money, and we would therefore like to express our profound appreciation”, one of the CRRC representatives said.

The donation will help refugees settled in Cambridge increase their work opportunities through training and mentoring. In particular to develop employability skills for start ups and small businesses. In addition, CRRC plans to spend the money to strengthen the refugee's social abilities, such as English language skills, through various programmes. “We also hope the donation will benefit our upcoming housing campaign in search of landlords who want to welcome refugees into their homes.”, said a spokesperson from CRRC.

CRRC looks forward to further partnerships with the Rotary Club in the future, and would like to express its deepest gratitude once more.
